Acceptable Use Policy

How we expect customers to behave on our Platform, our live streams, and our social channels

VannyCampers is a community. Live draws, comment threads, customer service chats, postal entries - every part of how we run is built around treating people fairly. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the conduct we expect from anyone who interacts with us.

Breaching this AUP is a breach of our Terms of Service and our Competition Terms & Conditions. The consequences are real - entries can be voided, accounts suspended or closed, Prizes forfeited, and in serious cases the matter referred to police or regulators.

1. Where this AUP applies

1.1       It applies whenever you interact with us - on our website, our apps, our customer-service channels (email, phone, chat), our live streams (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok), our social-media comment threads and DMs, and the postal-entry route.

2. The big rules

2.1       Be honest. Provide accurate information. Use real names and a genuine address.

2.2       Be respectful. Treat our team and other entrants the way you would want to be treated. The "VC fam" is a real community and we work hard to keep it warm.

2.3       Use one account. One account per person. No family/household stacking to dodge per-person ticket caps.

2.4       Use your own money. Pay with a card, PayPal account, or other method that is yours and you are authorised to use.

2.5       No automation. The Platform is for humans. No bots, scripts, scrapers, or AI agents acting on your behalf.

3. Specific prohibitions

3.1       Fraud and dishonesty - using stolen payment methods, providing false ID, impersonating someone else, lying about age or residence, manipulating chargebacks.

3.2       Multi-accounting - registering more than one account, using a partner's, child's, or housemate's account, or sharing accounts with anyone.

3.3       Circumventing limits - using VPNs to mask location, using multiple cards or family cards to exceed the £250/month credit-card limit, or using multiple accounts to exceed per-Competition entry caps.

3.4       Automation and abuse of systems - using bots, scrapers, headless browsers, RPA, or AI agents to enter Competitions, monitor draws, scrape entry lists, or take any other action; reverse-engineering the Platform; running denial-of-service or load attacks; introducing malware; bypassing security or rate-limit protections.

3.5       Data harvesting - collecting other entrants' personal data, profile pictures, screenshots of comment threads for off-platform contact, or scraping winner pages.

3.6       Abuse and harassment - abusing, threatening, intimidating or harassing our team or other entrants, on any channel. This includes private messages on social media. Disagreeing with us is fine. Threatening, insulting, or doxxing our team is not.

3.7       Hate, harassment, and discrimination - content that targets a person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or any other protected characteristic. Zero tolerance.

3.8       Live-draw conduct - interrupting, derailing, spamming, or hijacking our live streams; making accusations of fraud or rigging without evidence; abusing winners; encouraging others to disrupt the stream. Constructive feedback during a stream is welcome; abuse is not.

3.9       Intellectual property - copying, reproducing, redistributing or commercially exploiting our content (van listings, photography, brand assets, draw footage) without permission.

3.10     Unlawful content - anything illegal, defamatory, obscene, sexual content involving minors, threats, incitement to violence, breaches of confidence, or breaches of someone else's rights.

3.11     Spam and scams - promoting other competition operators on our channels, posting affiliate links, running pyramid or referral scams targeting our community, sending unsolicited DMs to entrants you met on our channels.

4. Postal-entry abuse

4.1       The free postal entry route is sacred. We will not allow it to be abused. Specifically: we will void entries that are mechanically printed, sent in bulk envelopes, sent from addresses that don't match the registered account, or that are clearly designed to overload the postal system to obtain disproportionate entries beyond the per-person cap.

4.2       Where someone repeatedly attempts to abuse the postal route we may close the related account, decline future entries, and pursue our reasonable costs.

5. Conduct on social media

5.1       Our pages on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok are part of our Platform under this AUP. The same rules apply to comments, replies, DMs, and live-stream chat as apply on our website.

5.2       We may hide, remove, or report any content that breaches this AUP and we may block or report any account that repeatedly breaches it. We will not engage with abusive or threatening DMs and we will refer credible threats to the police.

6. KYC and identity checks

6.1       Where we ask for ID under our verification process (Competition T&Cs cl. 9), giving false documents or refusing to cooperate without good reason is a breach of this AUP and grounds for forfeiting the Prize and closing the account.

7. Marketing and advertising standards

7.1       When we advertise our Competitions, we follow the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing (CAP), the UK Code of Broadcast Advertising (BCAP) and the DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators. Specifically, we do not target advertising at under-18s, and we do not suggest entering our Competitions is an escape from personal, professional or educational problems, a solution to financial concerns, an alternative to employment, or a way to achieve financial security.

7.2       Affiliates and creators promoting us must follow the same standards. Where they fail to, we will end the relationship and remove their content.

8. Reporting a breach

8.1       See something that breaches this AUP? Tell us at admin@vannycampers.co.uk (or DM @vannycampers on social). Include screenshots, links, ticket numbers or timestamps where possible. We will investigate and respond promptly.

8.2       We protect the identity of anyone reporting in good faith. We will never share your report with the person it relates to without your consent.

9. Enforcement

9.1       Where we reasonably believe this AUP has been breached, the actions we may take - alone or in combination, proportionate to the breach - include: (a) a written warning; (b) hiding or removing content; (c) suspending the account temporarily while we investigate; (d) closing the account permanently; (e) voiding paid entries linked to the breach without refund; (f) voiding postal entries linked to the breach; (g) forfeiting Prizes won using affected entries; (h) recovering the value of any Prize already paid out where the win was tainted by the breach; (i) banning future re-registration; (j) recovering our reasonable enforcement costs; (k) reporting to law enforcement, the ICO, the ASA, or other regulators where appropriate.

9.2       We will not take an enforcement step that materially affects you (for example, voiding a Prize) without first giving you a fair opportunity to respond, except where doing so would prejudice an investigation or where immediate action is needed to protect the Platform or others.

9.3       Decisions taken under this AUP are subject to our complaints process (Competition T&Cs cl. 20). You may also bring a claim in court. Your statutory rights are not affected.

10. Changes

10.1     We may update this AUP from time to time. The current version is shown on the Platform with the version date.
