Vanny Campers FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

The Campers

What kind of campervans do you give away?
Every VC van is a premium, fully hand-built conversion. No flat-pack kitchens, no carpet on the walls. Think real wood, proper kitchens with compressor fridges and gas hobs, hot showers, diesel heating, lithium batteries, solar panels, and comfortable beds. Every van has its own name and personality.
What base vehicles do you use?
We use Mercedes Sprinters, VW Crafters, Fiat Ducatos, and Peugeot Boxers. All of them are under 3.5 tonnes, which means they can be driven on a standard UK driving licence.
Who builds the vans?
We work with a small number of trusted specialist UK converters. We also now build vans in-house at our Bristol workshop. Every build is checked by the VC team before it goes live.
Is the van insured when I collect it?
The van will be registered in your name. You'll need to arrange your own insurance before driving it away. We can advise on this after you win!
Can I see the full spec of the current van?
Yes. Every competition page on vannycampers.co.uk has a full breakdown of the van's spec, including the base vehicle, conversion details, electrical setup, sleeping capacity, kitchen, bathroom, and more. There's also a video walkthrough on our socials..
How do I collect the van if I win?
Our team will contact you after the draw to arrange everything. Collection is from Bristol. We'll do a full handover with you so you know exactly how everything works before you drive away.
What if I don't have a driving licence?
The van can still be registered in your name. You'll just need a licensed driver to collect it and drive it for you.
Do I need a special licence to drive it?
No. All our vans are under 3.5 tonnes and are able to be driven by anyone with a standard UK driving licence.
Is the van insured when I collect it?
The van will be registered in your name during handover but you will need to arrange your own insurance before driving it away. We work closely with a specialist insurer and are able to help with this process.

How to play?

How do I enter?
Head to vannycampers.co.uk, pick the competition you want to enter, choose the quantity of tickets you would like, tick the T&Cs box, and complete your purchase. Your ticket numbers will be assigned randomly and will appear in the public entry list shortly after.
How does it work?
Simple. You buy a ticket (or more than one) for the competition you want to enter. Tickets are randomly assigned to you - you can't choose your number. On draw night, we use Big Bertha, our ball machine, to randomly select a winning ticket number. If it's yours, you've won. Every single draw is guaranteed to run, no matter how many tickets have been sold.
How many tickets can I buy?
Each competition has a max amount of entries per player, stated on the entry page.
Can I choose my ticket number?
No. Ticket numbers are assigned randomly when you complete your purchase. This keeps the whole thing fair for everyone.
Can I buy a ticket as a gift for someone else?
No. Due to GDPR rules, tickets must be purchased by and for the person entering. You can't buy a ticket in someone else's name.
Who can enter?
You must be 18 or over and a resident of the UK, Ireland, Northern Ireland, or the Isle of Man.
Is there a free entry option?
Yes. You can enter by post for free. See the postal entry page for more information.
Where can I see my ticket numbers?
Log into your account on vannycampers.co.uk. Your ticket numbers are listed there. They also come through by email when you purchase. Please note: your order number is six digits and is NOT your ticket number. Ticket numbers have between one and five digits. If you click on your order number, it will take you through to your ticket numbers.
Where can I see all the entries?
The full public entry list for every competition is available on our entry list pages before the draw takes place.

The Big Cash

How does the cash prize work?
The £25,000 cash draw runs alongside the campervan draw. It's a separate competition with its own ticket pool. The winner is drawn live on stream using Big Bertha and is contacted the next morning.
How is the cash paid?
We ask for your bank details the day after the draw and transfer the money directly to you.
What if the cash winner can't be reached on the night?
We try calling and messaging on the night. If we can't get through, we will follow up by phone and email the next morning. If you think you might have won, check your emails and phone - we guarantee that will find you.
Is the £25,000 included in a subscription?
Yes. The cash prize draw has it’s own subscription for £1 twice a month.

Charity

Do you donate to charity?
Yes, every single draw. We donate a minimum of £500 per draw to a chosen charity. If a competition sells out, that goes up to £1,000. We've donated tens of thousands of pounds to charity since we launched in 2020.
What charities have you supported?
We've supported charities covering MS, diabetes, cancer, MND, Crohn's disease, mental health, children's services, homelessness, animal rescue, and many local community causes across the UK.
How do I nominate a charity?
Email charity@vannycampers.co.uk. We try to support charities that are meaningful to our community, and we consider all nominations.

I paid but haven't received my tickets. What should I do?

Trust and Transparency

Is VannyCampers legit?
Yes. We're a UK registered limited company (VannyCampers Ltd, Company No. 13264401). Our competitions are solicitor-approved, fully compliant with ASA advertising regulations, and every draw is guaranteed to run. Payments are processed securely via external payment merchants only. We never store card details.
Has a draw ever been cancelled?
Never. Every draw runs, no matter how many tickets have been sold.
How do I know the draw is fair?
How do I know the draw is fair? Everything is done live on stream. You can see the balls loaded into Big Bertha chamber by chamber before every draw. The winning number is matched to the public entry list in real time. We also have Trustpilot reviews from thousands of customers, as the first camper competition company we have a plethora of videos back logged on our social channels.
Can VC team members enter?
No, also family, and anyone professionally connected to VannyCampers cannot enter any competition.

Other Prizes

What other prizes do you give away?
Alongside the campervan and cash, each live draw includes several smaller competitions. These typically include things like outdoor gear (paddle boards, roof tents, changing robes), lifestyle products (power stations, GoPros, site credit), and clothing (fleeces, hoodies). Prizes change each draw.
What are auto draws?
Auto draws run on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month. These are separate from the live draws and are drawn automatically by computer - no live stream. They feature smaller prizes with very low entry prices, often from as little as 20p or 50p. Winners are notified by email.
How do I enter the auto draws?
Head to vannycampers.co.uk, find the auto draw competitions, and buy your tickets. They're quick, cheap, and great odds.
What is site credit?
Site credit (or street cred as we sometimes call it) is essentially money to spend on tickets at vannycampers.co.uk. We give it away regularly during live draws and on social media. It works like a voucher - it gets applied to your account and you can use it to enter any competition.

Winners

How will I know if I've won?
If you win the campervan or cash prize, we'll try to call you live on stream during the draw. If we can't get through, we will follow up by phone and email the next morning. All other prize winners are emailed the morning after the draw with instructions.
What information do I need to provide if I win?
For the cash prize, we'll need your bank details (sent securely). For smaller prizes, we'll need your delivery address. For the campervan, we will walk you through everything.
How quickly will I get my prize?
Cash is usually transferred within a day or two of providing bank details. Smaller prizes are dispatched once your address is confirmed, typically within a few days. The campervan is arranged directly with you by us.
What if I didn't win but I'm on the winners list by mistake?
That won't happen. The draw is fully transparent and publicly verified. The winning ticket number is shown live on stream and matched to the entry list.
Is a full winners list published?
Yes. Winners are shared on our social media after every draw and emailed to all subscribers the morning after. You can also find historical winners at vannycampers.co.uk/winners.

Big Betha

Who is Big Bertha?
Bertha is our mechanical ball machine and the heart of every live draw night. She's got five chambers, each loaded with numbered balls, and at the press of a button she births your winning ticket number. She joined the VC team in April 2026 and has run every live draw since.
Why does she have a name?
Because she's part of the family. We talk to her on stream, we count balls into her on camera, and the audience has watched hundreds of winning numbers come out of her. She's a beast. She's a queen. She's Bertha.
Why a ball machine instead of a random number generator?
Three reasons. It's more transparent, you can see every single ball going in before the draw, so there's nothing hidden behind code. It's more exciting, the balls dropping out one at a time on the big prizes builds proper tension. And it's a piece of theatre, draw night is the centrepiece of what we do, and Bertha makes it feel like a proper event rather than a number popping up on a screen.
How many chambers does she have?
Five. They're labelled ones, tens, hundreds, thousands, and tens of thousands. Each chamber holds the balls 0–9 when fully loaded, and one ball drops from each active chamber to form the winning number.
What range of numbers can Bertha draw?
Anywhere from 1 to 99,999. The number of chambers we use depends on how many tickets are in that competition. A 499-ticket draw uses three chambers. A 29,999-ticket draw uses all five.
How are the balls loaded?
On camera, one at a time, counted out loud. Before every competition we show each chamber being filled, every single ball, so you can rewind the stream and see exactly what went in. For a 499-ticket draw we load 0–4 into the hundreds and 0–9 into the tens and ones. For a 29,999-ticket draw we load every ball into every chamber.
Why does the loading change between competitions?
Because we run the competitions smallest to biggest on draw night. After each comp we top up or trim the chambers on camera to match the next ticket count, so what's in the machine always reflects the prize being drawn. Viewers can't see what they can't see, so every change happens in plain sight.
My ticket number is only 4 digits, how can I win if Bertha always draws 5?
Easy. Bertha pulls a digit from each active chamber, but a leading zero just means a shorter number. If she draws 0-0-1-2-3, that's ticket 123. If she draws 0-9-9-9-9, that's ticket 9,999. Every ticket has an equal shot regardless of how many digits it has.
Is it actually random?
Yes. Five separate chambers, each spinning independently, all mechanical. Every ball is loaded on camera before the draw so you can see exactly what's in there. There's no way to influence the outcome and you can rewind the stream to check the loading any time.
What does "re-bosh" mean?
A re-bosh is when we have to run the draw again. It happens for two reasons: either Bertha drew a number that doesn't match a real sold ticket (for example she pulled 499 but tickets only sold up to 461), or a ball jammed and didn't drop properly. In either case we pop the balls back in, hit Range Set, and bosh again. Every draw lands on a real winner, we keep going until it does.
What happens if a chamber jams?
The draw is declared void on the spot. We empty the chambers, reload them on camera, and run it again. We'll always say so on stream when it happens, trust matters more than pace.
What if the number drawn doesn't match any sold ticket?
We re-bosh. Same process: balls back in, run it again. This can happen more than once on competitions where a lot of tickets are unsold, but we keep going until Bertha lands on a number that matches a real entry. No draw ever gets cancelled, someone always wins.
Can a re-bosh happen on the campervan or cash draw?
Yes, exactly the same rules apply. If we draw a number that doesn't match a sold ticket, we go again. It's all on camera, all transparent, and we don't move on until we've got a valid winner.
Can I really see every ball going in?
Yes, that's the whole point. Before every competition we show each ball going into each chamber on camera. We call out the number as we drop it in. You can rewind the stream and watch the loading from start to finish.
